UltraRAD Announces Acquisition
of Acquiro Medical Systems, Inc.

Expansion of in-house products and development team

Largo, FL – November 10, 2004: UltraRAD Corporation proudly announces the acquisition of Acquiro Medical Systems, Inc., a Texas based medical imaging software development company. Within the terms of the acquisition, UltraRAD expands its in-house products and development staff and gains all Acquiro software products including an HL7 to DICOM Modality Worklist Broker, Image Viewing Software, Enterprise DICOM Archive, and DICOM to CD/DVD Burning Software. “We can offer a more flexible and complete solution for our PACS and Managed Services offerings,” says Travis Nuzzi, UltraRAD CTO and VP of Product Development. “By combining the programming talents and products of Acquiro, with the PACS knowledge, dedicated product testing, technical support and sales and marketing capabilities of UltraRAD, this is a win-win situation.” UltraRAD, a solutions provider since the 1980’s, utilizes over fifteen years of experience in PACS and Teleradiology implementation to provide a comprehensive solution to the small hospital and imaging center markets. Acquiro has been focused on developing DICOM Software for the Radiology market over the last 3 years. This acquisition strengthens UltraRAD’s position in the PACS market and expands UltraRAD’s technologies, allowing them to deliver more mature and robust medical imaging software. With RSNA fast approaching, UltraRAD’s plan to introduce their UltraPACS line takes shape with this acquisition. The product line includes UltraRAD’s most recent market concept, Managed Services. Unlike an ASP or lease, UltraRAD provides a service contract to your facility to consult, develop and maintain all of the pieces of your Ultimate PACS system at a low cost per-procedure. UltraRAD is better positioned in the market as a result of the acquisition and is set to experience great success in the coming year. “This acquisition is a great opportunity for UltraRAD to become a front-runner in the market by combining our technology with their already robust product line,” according to Gabriel Pislaru, President and CEO of Acquiro Medical Systems, Inc. “It is a good choice for us to become part of the UltraRAD team.”
