Largo, FL – February 10, 2005: UltraRAD Corporation, a Florida based medical solutions provider is proud to announce the purchase of technology from Cedara Software Corporation, a leading independent provider of medical technologies. Within the terms of the agreement, UltraRAD purchases the Cedara I-Reach derivative software license, a web-based DICOM software providing ever-present image access to the healthcare enterprise. As a result of the agreement, Cedara becomes a shareholder in the common share equity of UltraRAD. “We see this relationship as giving us even more credibility and flexibility in the market place,” according to Tom Goliash, President and CEO of UltraRAD Corporation. “The commitment and focus of the people in both our companies, coupled with the strong engineering and support staffs makes this a win-win situation for us all.”
UltraRAD and Cedara have not been strangers in this ever-changing market. The relationship between the two companies spans the last two years, originally through an OEM arrangement where UltraRAD was granted non-excusive rights to license and sell Cedara’s technology. UltraRAD is now pleased to own their technology roadmap and excited to continue their partnership with Cedara. This technology not only enhances their existing product offering, but shows continued growth in providing a comprehensive solution on an ongoing basis. This agreement brings these two solid market players into and even stronger relationship. “We are very pleased to be solidifying our relationship with UltraRAD,” said Brian Pedlar, Cedara Software’s CFO. “UltraRad has an excellent track record as both a solution provider and in integrating disparate imaging systems. By uniting our technology with their expertise, healthcare professionals will be provided with a wider range of digital tools for medical imaging.”
