UltraRAD Announces UltraGATEWAY Lite Version 2.0

West Berlin, New Jersey – October 25, 2006 - UltraRAD Corporation announces UltraGATEWAY Lite Version 2.0, the newest version of the DICOM image router. This version includes the same features that have made the UltraGATEWAY DICOM router top of its class, DICOM standard encryption, JPEG2000 support, DICOM Storage commitment, support for simultaneous inbound and outbound DICOM streams, and advanced auto-routing features.

“The UltraGATEWAY Lite software was designed specifically to meet the needs of smaller facilities to handle image distribution and management in their Teleradiology/PACS environment,” says Bobby Ray Harris, UltraRAD’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It is already an extremely flexible product. The Lite version 2.0 still has many important features and has been modified for the smaller facilities, including encrypted communications, a key element in the battle that facilities face in complying with HIPAA guidelines and trying to support the growing demand for Teleradiology.” UltraGATEWAY Lite version 2.0 expands the already proven UltraGATEWAY features to lower volume facilities with smaller budgets, and allows them a path to grow. “As a practice grows, the Lite version has access to upgrades and add-on modules to support your DICOM image management needs. UltraRAD Corporation is committed to providing products and services for small, medium and even the largest facilities, so everyone is able to meet the growing demand of Teleradiology”, states Bobby Ray.

Using the UltraGATEWAY Lite software solution, any facility can collect digital DICOM data from various sources (CT, MR, US, RF, CR, DR, etc.) and process, store and distribute them across point-to-point connections within the facility and out to any remote location for primary reading or consultation purposes. UltraGATEWAY Lite boasts high configurability, ease of serviceability and queue management. 2.0 UltraGATEWAY Lite now allows a facility to get rid of the potential hassles of a VPN by utilizing standard DICOM encryption feature. UltraRAD has also a reference viewer included with the base software package, allowing facilities to view and manipulate images for the purpose of simple reference viewing at no additional charge.
